the country is totally divided, debt-ridden and with a big
percentage of citizens living with less than one dollar/day, its
politicians are discussing how to re-invent the wheel and acting

Each
camp seems to have a direct telephone line with God while
forgetting that the Godly deed is to help the poor, never to lie
to the administered who voted them to office and admit their own
past sins: the plunder of the country.
The
scenario seems like a horror movie wherein a whole country
is possessed, not by Spaniards nor by Americans, but by the
Devil himself.
If
the Americans James & Dewey introduced the concept
of "Pragmatism" in Modern Philosophy, it appears that the Filipino
politicians have invented the Filipino version of the concept,
defined with a twist: Naghahanap- buhay lang naman!
